Nanotechnology: the future of treating bacterial and viral infections VIDEO

Prostate cancer expert, Dr. David Samadi, and fellow Fox Five Medical A-Team member, Dr. Marc Siegel, discuss the future of treating bacterial and viral infections. Through nanoparticals doctors will soon be able to provide targeted therapy directly to the affected cells within the body. By treating illness and even diseases such as cancer, infections will be targeted at the cellular and genetic levels.

Dr. Samadi believes nanotechnology innovations will change the future of medicine and surgery over the next five years, and shares that nanopellets and lasers will soon be used in diabetes patients to eliminate the need for prick blood tests in measuring blood sugar levels. Dr. Siegel adds that antibiotic resistance is a growing problem that will be overcome with nanoparticle tissue treatment.
